Bribie MediPlus is a small, modern and expanding general practice, located on Bribie Island.
We are proud to offer compassionate, patient-centred care supported by a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
We're currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Medical Receptionist to join us in a casual role with the option to transition to part-time, approximately 3-4 week (between 8am and 4pm).
What You’ll Be Doing
As the first point of contact for our patients, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent patient experiences. Your duties will include:
- Greeting and assisting patients in a professional and caring manner
- Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment book
- Handling phone and email enquiries
- Processing billing, Medicare claims and EFTPOS payments
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Supporting doctors and nurses with administrative tasks
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in medical reception or healthcare administration (min 1 year)
- Excellent organisational and customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Attention to detail and time management
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
- Experience with Best Practice Software and Cubiko (desirable but not essential)
- A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a busy team environment
- Flexibility to work a variable roster, including potential holiday and sick leave coverage
