Cleveland Medical is a modern, fast-paced and expanding private general practice, located in the beautiful bayside suburb of Cleveland. We are proud to offer compassionate, patient-centred care supported by a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

We're currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Medical Receptionist to join us in a casual role with the option to transition to part-time, on a flexible roster (likely looking at ~18 hours / week).

 

What You’ll Be Doing

As the first point of contact for our patients, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent patient experiences. Your duties will include:

  • Greeting and assisting patients in a professional and caring manner
  • Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment book
  • Handling phone and email enquiries
  • Processing billing, Medicare claims and EFTPOS payments
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Supporting doctors and nurses with administrative tasks

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in medical reception or healthcare administration
  • Excellent organisational and customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with Best Practice Software (desirable but not essential)
  • A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a busy team environment
  • Flexibility to work a variable roster, including potential holiday and sick leave coverage
